Abstract:

The study aimed to examine the impact of investing in human capital on achieving sustainable social development in northern Syria from the perspective of faculty members at universities in northern Syria. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, selecting a random sample of 220 faculty members from universities in the region, including Aleppo in the liberated areas, Idlib University, North University, and Al-Sham University. The results showed a high level of educational investment in human capital contributing to the dimensions of sustainable social development. Additionally, the study identified a moderate level of training investment in achieving sustainable social development in northern Syria. The study also found a significant effect of the dimensions of human capital investment -educational investment and training investment – on the dimensions of sustainable social development in northern Syrian.
