Abstract

This article discusses the function of the ministers of Andalusia in political life from the period of the kings of the sects “Moulook Attawaef” in Andalusia to the period of Bani al-Ahmar. This role was presented through their sharing in embassies and conducting negotiations with the rulers of the emirates and other countries in order to sign peace treaties,, discuss relations, request aid to fight the Spanish, release prisoners, cede cities, or negotiate with the revolutionaries to end their revolution and return to obedience On the other hand, the ministers would receive ambassadors and messengers of other countries and emirates in order to make friendly relations, extend peace treaties, or establish an alliance against a state. They also received delegations to pledge allegiance to the ruler and receive princes as political refugees after they lost the rule of their cities to strong rulers.
