Abstract:

The aim of the research was to identify the degree of psychological contamination among a sample of young people in northern Syria, The researcher adopted the descriptive and analytical approach, and withdrew the sample in the random cluster method, amounting to /405/ young men and women, and used a psychological contamination scale for El nawajha (2020).

The research concluded with a set of findings، the most important of which are:

  • The degree of psychological pollution of the research sample members is low, and by reference to the scales the field of denial and abuse of cultural identity and chaos was low, while the area of attachment to foreign formalities was moderate.
  • Differences between the average grades of the sample research on the psychological contamination scale attributable to the gender variant in favour of males.
  • Differences between the average scores of members of the research sample on the psychological contamination scale attributable to the educational level variable in favour Pre-university education level.

The researcher recommends educating and intellectual immunizing young people, promoting good behaviour of university youth, and designing preventive extension programmes that help to immunize young people from psychological contamination.
